EDITION THREE.
BEST BITS:
I had a few “CHILL MATE” bookings in April and it makes me so happy to see you bring your loved ones along for some maxo relaxo.
One client brought MAFS on their laptop to watch on the couch while her husband had his massage, another couple brought their six month old and each had an outdoor bath while the other had their treatment. Two girlfriends from Hobart came down for the day and enjoyed some champagne and Pigeon Hole sandwiches for lunch and read a book out on the rocking chair in the sun.
That’s living Barry!
WELCOME BACK TO RELAXO: NOTES!.
HOW I’VE BEEN RELAXING:
Rather than immediately picking up my phone and mindlessly scrolling first thing when I wake up. I’m trying to create a more relaxed and considered morning routine.
I go downstairs to give my dogs a morning cuddle and let them outside. Put a pot of coffee on, heat up my wheat bag and head back up to bed. I get comfortable in a seated position and try to do twenty minutes of Vedic Mediation (I did Laura Tilley’s, The Half Between course a couple of years ago and highly recommend), followed by my morning pages (three written pages of whatever comes to mind). And then I’m ready for my breakfast and brew!
I’m so grateful I have this slow time in the morning to just be. And I also totally understand this particular routine isn’t realistic for everyone depending on your stage of life.
MOVIE I WATCHED:
Two Hands, 1999. My husband introduced this to me early on in our relationship, as one of his favourite films. We re-watch it every year I’d say.
An Australian classic starring Heath Ledger and Rose Byrne- set in Sydney featuring Kings Cross and Bondi Beach. You’ve got bank robbery, a love story, classic cars and lots of Aussie humour.
BEAUTY TREATMENT I’M LOVING:
A monthly eyelash and eyebrow tint. Which you too can receive at Relaxo! I have quite fair lash and brow hairs naturally, and don’t love wearing make-up, so I find that this is a nice easy way to define and frame the face.
See the before and after below.
PENINSULA THINGS I’VE ENJOYED:
I caught up with a beautiful new friend at Cubed Espresso and she introduced me to their hot cacao. There’s a bunch of added spices mixed in that makes it super warming and delicious. I’m now addicted.
Visiting the back of The Blowhole at Eaglehawk Neck to find some Abalone for dinner.
Kenyak chocolate honeycomb (made in Hobart) found at The Lanterns in Dunalley.
ON MY WISHLIST: 👀
I’ve been searching for a good Tarot book, so I can learn more about the cards and their suggested meanings, and then I can pass that knowledge on to you when you draw a card before a Kahuna session.
A Hills Hoist for the backyard, we have solar here at the house, so I’m conscious of using the dryer and chewing up too much power, and there’s just something nice about clothes drying out in the sun. 🌞
THE BEST WAY YOU CAN SUPPORT RELAXO:
Come in for some maxo relaxo, you deserve it!
Spread the word to family and friends.
*Please note: I’ve added some Wednesdays to the calendar for those who have Wednesdays off and want to visit.
